Probably the best fine dining restaurant in southern Utah. Small store, about 25 seats. Service was excellent as was the food. Rack of lamb was superb, Chateaubriand was also excellent, each served with a nice perfectly cooked assortment of vegetables. Also had mussels in a mild garlic sauce and a wonderful pate as starters. Wine is list small but covers all the important bases. Might be a bit top heavy with more expensive wines but the lower cost ones were fine. No spirits available only beer and wine. Deserts were also excellent with great presentation. Well worth the visit! Reservations should be made, at least on week ends.
A hidden treasure in the dessert. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Make sure you have the time to properly enjoy a meal served at a relaxed pace with plenty of time for conversation. It's possible to be completely satisfied with the beautiful appetizers and decadent deserts. The entrees are mouth watering array of tough choices, but no bad ones, so I recommend dining with people who share. The chef comes out to meet all the patrons. The service is exemplary. We enjoyed 2 hours here and never felt rushed and never felt like we were being ignored. Make sure to make reservations. There are few tables and this is unhurried cuisine. Don't be dissuaded by the shabby stuccoed exterior, once you step inside you will know you made the right choice.
Friendly, professional, and attentive service, in a cozy space. The food is outstanding both in the presentation and taste. I ordered a salmon dish which came with a crab sauce. I am very picky about sauces and usually order it on the side. This time I ordered the dish as-is and am glad for it. The sauce complemented the fish perfectly. The vegetables were flavorful and grilled to perfection. The mashed potato was up to par with the rest of the dish also. Squeaky-clean utensils, plates, and glasses. Great wine selection. Background music at just the right amplitude to be obviously present but not to interfere with one's conversation. Air-curtain at the entrance to keep the pesky bugs out (hence the title) which is another sign that the owner really cares about the details and quality. Very impressed.
In Southern Utah because of the size of our community culinary experiences are rare. Aragosta and his owner/chef is an exception. He and his staff truly welcomed us and catered to all our every needs. Once they learned that we were celebrating our anniversary, beautiful gestures like a rose and complementary rich foods and pastry were brought to our table. The personal attention was very nice but the food was the star. Chilean bass and their lobster were exquisite! Great presentation and bigger than expected portions of gourmet foods easily rivaled big cities gourmet places. We were truly impressed by the whole experience.
The best restaurant I've been to. This should have a 10 star rating. Excellent service and the best food I've eaten. The Chef cares about your dining experience and Rhett our waiter takes care of everything. I highly recommend.
