The park itself was gorgeous. Definitely one of the more underrated and lesser known parks for those visiting southern Utah.
Excellent hiking trails and the biking is amazing. People are pretty good about giving bike riders room as well. Clean park just can be really hot in the summer, bring water if hiking.
Quickly becoming one of our favorite parts to visit. Plenty of sorry trails, so you can do a hike, see something amazing, but not use an entire day. So many gems,we will be coming back again and again.
I almost don't want to leave a positive review because I kind of want to keep this place as secret as possible. While it is has decently high traffic, it still offers over 30 miles of amazing trails. Only some dog friendly trails but in our 5 day stay we couldn't get through all the available dog trails. Amazing scenery. One of Utah's most beautiful state parks.
The rangers here were unbelievably helpful. One of them showed me the best BLM camping spots after we learned the campground was full (which turned out to be much nicer and more secluded), and another mapped out a hike that included all the best parts of the park. You could tell they loved what they did and were excited about it.
I will be back!
Nice Utah State Park s located about 5 miles north of Saint George, Utah. Has a park entrance at the north & south ends o f this canyon. Nice wide blacktoped walking & bike paths running mostly north & south. Has a nice bathroom & picnic & camping areas. Also a play area for kids. Very clean & well kept up.
